About Our Programming

North Cornwall's BC Radio will be a community radio station that combines the consistent, varied and often very popular playlist you would hear on commercial radio stations such as Pirate or Atlantic FM with the localness and relevance of a community radio station, providing a truly memorable listening experience thats both engaging, entertaining and locally relevant to our North Cornwall audience.

We take our programming very seriously, especially the music variety you hear on air, and thats why we've put our best man on the job to ensure just that. If you have any suggestions for what you want to hear on air, please email our Head of Music, Dave Gould at dave.gould@bc-radio.co.uk who will be pleased to hear what you want from YOUR community radio.

Our Promise to You

Our team are all too aware that North Cornwall's BC Radio cannot be a success without the support of our local community. We know we can't please everyone all of the time. That's impossible. However what we can, and will always strive to do is please as many possible as is possible. We care passionately about your enjoyment of our Programming. That's why if you have any constructive criticism or indeed any super suggestions that would make our on air presentation that little bit better, we want to hear about it.

All constructive comments are taken on board and discussed in our team meetings and acted upon- because the team firmly believe that you, the North Cornwall community are our bosses when it comes to the end product.

So this is our promise- provided your suggestion is one that is constructive, (suggestions such as "play better music" are not what we classify as constructive unless you tell us what music you want to hear) then your suggestion WILL be acted on. If that promise is not upheld then please contact our Station & Programme Manager, Aaron James by emailing us on the Contact Us Section and marking the subject FAO: Aaron James.

Hourly Rotation

Our hourly rotation is a mix of songs from 1970 to the current hit songs. We appreciate theres a lot of tastes, and all can't be catered for however the below rotation is designed to cater for as many of those as possible.

Below is an example of what you would hear in a standard hour of Programming:

Don't Stop Til You Get Enough by Michael Jackson
Telephone by Lady Gaga ft Beyonce Knowles
Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac
Cool by Gwen Stefani
Disco 2000 by Pulp
Nothin' On You by B.O.B ft Bruno Mars
Africa by Toto
Beautiful Day by U2
Ocean Drive by Lighthouse Family
Once by Diana Vickers
Disco Inferno by the Traamps
Lonely No More by Rob Thomas
Losing My Religion by REM
Until You Were Gone by Chipmunk ft Esmee Denters
Boys of Summer by Don Henley
Umbrella by Rihanna

At times our Programming will not follow this format depending on the content of the Programming; for example if you are listening to a show with chillout music, then the rotation clock as stated above would not be appropriate and adjusted accordingly.
